Sara Sherwood

Sara Sherwood began her spiritual journey and free thinking approach to fine art in 2000. From 1986 to 1988 Sara studied at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design, and prior to that at Herefordshire College of Art and Design. Having worked in the design sector for 16 years, she became a full time artist in 2005. Captivated by beauty, the reflections, shapes and angles of the city as well as the curves in nature, Sara interprets a view with emotion and expresses that feeling in paint. Her aim is to bring positivity into a work of art. Working in oil on canvas, Sara's passion is for colour, self-expression and fluidity, putting colours down instinctively, blending and using a palette knife with intuition and spontaneity. Sara finds her inspiration in everyday moments, nature and life experiences, passing love, spirituality and joy into her art.
