Introducing Martin Bush

After completing a degree course in Art & Design from Birmingham University, Martin’s path to painting and Abstract Expressionism started in 1997 whilst in Thailand. He has been artist in residence at Royal William Yard, Plymouth since 2005 and is now recognised as one of the region’s leading progressive painters. Driven by experience and observation of the natural world Martin’s work is both organic and elemental. A diverse fusion of colours, different mediums, canvasses vibrant with energy driven marks and a free flowing painting style are all hallmarks of Martin’s work. Artistic expression should never be static.
